From the title of this post, you may think that I'm referring to Kaleb. You would be wrong. I'm talking about Jane. We took Jane's soother (pacifier) away from her a couple of months ago, but every once in a while, she still asks for it. Tonight she really wanted it in the car while we were driving home, so we tried telling her that she's a big girl and big girls don't have soothers, only babies. In response, she was telling us that she wasn't a big girl, she was a baby. We tried to persuade her otherwise, telling her that babies go to bed early, don't get treats and have to eat baby food. She didn't seem to mind that and said the rest of the way home that she was a baby and wanted baby food. We were more than happy to oblige her and when we got home, she was put in the high chair like a baby. I was worried this was going to backfire on us because she looked very pleased at being in the high chair. Tim gave her some baby food green beans. She said, "Don't like it." and then said that she wanted a banana. We told her that she had to get out and sit in the big girl chair to eat her banana. She didn't want to and said that she would eat more baby food. Tim gave her another bite and her face turned to complete disgust and she actually dry heaved on it. I thought for sure she was going to puke. After that, she consented that she was a big girl and would eat big girl food. I was trying so hard not to laugh in front of her, but I just thought this story was too funny not to share. She is quite the character and makes me laugh every day.
Jane was looking over at Tim laying on the floor and must have thought he looked comfy. She studied very closely how he was laying and copied him.

Oh, Jane! What a silly baby you are!! That really makes be laugh.
Apparently, I was too quick to make comments. The picture of Kaleb in the tub is priceless and I loved the video. All of it!
That is hilarious! Sometimes I refer to Mackay as "babe" and she immediately starts to fake cry and needs a bottle or binkie or something. We are also trying to explain to her that being a big girl is way more fun than being a baby. I hope she catches on soon and quits making me pretend-change her diaper.
What cute pictures!! I love how Jane gets Kaleb to laugh!! Kaleb's cheeks are awesome!
