Pirate Island

This week the new Pirate Island opened by University Mall. Me and Tim and been waiting and waiting for it to open, so we had to take the kids. It was even cooler than I thought it was going to be. The inside is amazing and so much fun! All the waiters dress up and ours even did a pirate voice and had a Jack Black thing going on. It was a lot of fun. I recomend going to everybody, even if you don't have little kids!
The pirate hats are actually the kid menus.
Jane and Tim had so much fun playing all the games together!
And Kaleb too!

Wolfley Family Reunion 2009

This year for the Wolfley reunion we went camping near Jill's place in Pinetop Arizona. You'd never guess it was in Arizona because it's not nearly so hot or desert looking. There are lots of beautiful pine trees all over. It was great of Jill to plan the whole thing for us! However, it will probably be a while before we make another drive that long. Kaleb doesn't sleep very well in the car. He hardly took any naps in the car so he was crying a lot of the drive and we didn't even get to our campsite till late that night. It was 11:30 before we got our tent up and I could put him to bed. It was the end of a very long and stressful day. He and Jane were not very happy. However there was one really funny part of the drive. We stopped at a gas station and got Jane a little toy to keep her occupied and when we took it up to the counter, Jane said, "Two hundred thousand dollars." We couldn't stop laughing.
The next day we woke up to a chilly morning. I thought Kaleb looked pretty cute all bundled up next to the fire!

We were lucky and when the sun came out it really warmed up! The kids had lots of fun playing in the dirt together!

And then all the other kids were done. I don't think Jane noticed. She stayed there for quite a while by herself.

And she loved it!

Jane was really excited to go on the 4-wheeler with Tim. I think she looks pretty cute in the helmet!

Sammie really liked chasing them. She could keep up pretty well, even when they went fast. I love this picture. If you make it big you can see her perfect form!

After the ride she gave me a great thumbs up. Even though her face doesn't look that thrilled, she had a great time!

That afternoon we went fishing. The sun went behind the clouds and it got kind of chilly.

Jane got her own new fishing pole for the trip, however, she got bored quickly, but it sure was cute watching her and her daddy. Nobody caught anything, it wasn't a very good spot, but all the kids enjoyed it anyway.

I thought this shot turned out really pretty.

Kaleb didn't enjoy being out there so much. It was too cold.

Jane didn't understand why she couldn't have one of the paddles, but she loved conoeing anyway.

Jane's second 4-wheeler ride. I like that helmet on her even better!

Cute snuggle time!

Our second day there, all the women went to Jill's house to take a shower and left all the men to go shooting. As soon as we left, it started to rain pretty hard. Instead of going shooting, the men built this little shelter. I'm so glad they did because it was still raining when we came back and it was great to have a place to sit out of the rain! They didn't have any nails so that had to tie the logs together with ropes. The did a great job! It was very sturdy! I think building that was one of Tim's favorite parts of the trip.

A shot of our camp site after the rain stopped. She the pretty rainbow in the background?

Our tents were through the trees away from everything else. Our is the little blue and grey one.

The tent site!

The look out from where out tents were. It was so pretty there!

I love how when kids reach into a bag of chips the bag gets closer to the ground when they are reaching in to the bottom. Jane was having a hard time reaching clear down there!

From the looks of it, she managed to get enough out.

When we were packing up camp I was worried about when we were going to do for Kaleb's nap since there would be no quiet place to put it. He's very picky about where he sleeps. We just put him in his playpen while we were packing things up in the tent and amazingly he fell asleep even with us in there doing stuff and making noise. So then when it came time to take the tent down, me and Tim just picked up the playpen and carried it out and he stayed asleep! I was so amazed.
I sure thought he looked cute just sleeping outside in the trees.
He was pretty happy about it when he woke up too!

We were so glad Uncle Kevin was able to make it! All the kids ( and us too) loved having him there!

Poor Sammie. She always gets put in clothes, but it's so funny!
