Recent Things

Wow, it seems like life has drastically sped up and I don't know how it happened. We are always busy around here. These kids constantly keep me on my toes and it seems like we always need to go shopping for something. I swear, it never ends. Tim's really busy these days too. He's working 50+ hours a week and going to school full time, so we don't see him much these days, but that's going to slow down soon. Not many people want to buy windows in the winter. But with all that's going on, we still manage to have some fun! Here's some on the goings on over the past little while.
Jane loves to play "Punch Out" with Tim. It's pretty cute. I think Kaleb likes to watch too. He looks pretty into it.
One day I was doing some things in the kitchen and turned around to find Jane "dancing" with Kaleb.
I bought Kaleb this skeleton Halloween costum, but his head was far to big for it. He cried when I took it off because it took quite the tug, so I had to take it back, but I thought he looked pretty cute in it anyway! And of course Jane had to be in the pictures too.

We went to the Zoo again. They have so many babies right now! We got to see the baby elephant
and the baby giraffe. They had baby tigers too but they were kind of hard to see in the grass.
Afterwards we went to dinner. Tim was SO proud of how perfect his icecream turned out.
I can't even believe how big Jane's mouth is. This doesn't even look real to me.
The first night it got cold, Tim and I set up the air mattress downstairs so we could sleep by the fire. The next morning, Jane thought it was the best place to watch TV.
Jane loved snuggling with Sammie while we watched conference.
Sammie loved it too.
Sylvia Keller, one of the women Tim worked with a lot on his mission was in Salt Lake for Conference. We saw her at the mission reunion and so Tim invited her over for dinner after Conference. It was a lot of fun to get to know her. Jane really enjoyed showing off for her and taking pictures of her.
Yesterday I decided it would be fun to make sugar cookies with Jane. She had so much fun! She was really good at sprinkling flour on top of the dough,
and rolling it out,

and cutting them out! Of course, she needed just a little help.
Look at all that icing!!
I think she did pretty good for a 2 year old!
And of course, you can't ice cookies without eating a little of the icing, who cares if it gets on your face!
Kaleb is getting bigger and sweeter all the time. He has turned into quite the Momma's boy. Part of me kind of likes it, but it can also be a pain. He still doesn't move around much. Mostly he just likes to sit on the floor or in my lap and play with his toys. He loves Jane as long as she plays soft and loves the dogs! He just had 3 teeth on the top all come in at the same time. He was so miserable! But now it's over! Even when he's sad, he'll smile at anybody and even though he smiles all the time at everybody he sees, it's the kind of smile that still makes you feel special.
I'm trying to start him on a little bit more solid foods that he has to chew, and he doesn't like it very much. I think it's going to take more time than it took Jane. But he likes his cookies!

I feel so lucky to have such a great family! Tim is so great and works so hard to take care of us! He is so good with the kids and Jane can't get enough of him. I couldn't ask for a better husband and best friend.

Your kids are so cute Cammie!! That last picture of Kaleb is adorable. And that skeleton costume is awesome - to bad you had to take it back. Looks like Jane had fun making all those cookies. Her smile is the best!
