The Different Sides of Jane

The sweet and precious side. . .
. . . and the super silly side! I absoluetly love this girl! She is always doing something funny that makes me laugh. Now every times she changes her clothes she wants to do this and tries to get me to take a picture again. She is talking more and more all the time. I guess I should rephrase that, she has always talked and talked and talked. Now she is starting to talk in sentences and is getting a lot better at expressing her thoughts. She says some of the funniest things. The other day, we went to McDonalds and Tim gave her the little toy, a beanie baby monkey. The next morning she told me, "Daddy give monkey me. I so lucky!" I thought it was so cute! That night she had a babysitter and when Kaleb went down to bed he cried a little bit and Jane said to the babysitter, "Poor little guy." The next day, Tim play hit me in the bum and Jane turned around and said to him, "Don't hit mommy! Not funny!" I love being able to play with her and see her little mind working and see a little bit of her sense of humor. She is always looking for new ways to have fun.

Kaleb is getting bigger and bigger all the time. I wonder if he is ever going to slow down. He has only just recently started rolling from his back to his tummy, but still can't do it the other way around, which is really frustrating to him! He is doing really well at sitting up all by himself, unless he's tired, and then that big head is just too heavy to keep up! He's been sleeping through the night for about the past 2 weeks which is amazing!!! I'm loving that! He also got 2 little teeth about a month ago. They are so cute! I love every single minute I'm with this little guy. All it takes is for you too look at him and he gets the biggest grin which always makes me happy no matter how upset I was before. I'm so excited to see him grow and see how his little personality developes. I'm so blessed to have two amazing kids!

Stuff that I missed before Kaleb was born

I was going through some old pictures and realized that there is a lot of stuff that I forgot to blog about before Kaleb was born. There were so many cute things I had to put them all on, so here's a big one! Jane was a princess for Halloween!
I don't think she quite understood what was going on, but she enjoyed it anyway!
I was trying on her new hat a mittens to make sure they fit and she loved it!
She wore them for about another hour until she got frustrated by not being able to use her fingers.
We put the seat back on the exersaucer for a friends baby and the next day I came around the corner to find that Jane had gotten herself in there and decided it was a great place to sit and watch TV . . .
. . . until she couldn't figure out how to get out of it.

I put the ottoman up there so I could vacuum. I have to idea how he managed to get up there. I guess he's smarter than I give him credit for.

For Thanksgiving we got to go out with all of Tim's family to Shelly's house in Denver. It was a trip we will not soon forget. We had so much fun hanging out and all of the kids had fun playing together. Some of the kids made a little store with items made entirely out of paper. I think they made some pretty decent money. The adults got to go out to a comedy club and dinner which was so much fun! We also went to the aquarium and had lots of fun! But, for how much fun it was, it was equally terrible. About half of everybody there got sick at some point throughout the trip. Tim's mom spent most of Thanksgiving day in bed. Also that day, we couldn't figure out why Jane didn't want to eat anything till that night, she threw up. It was her first time ever throwing up and it was horrible. I instinctuallly put my hands out to catch it, although that did not save the carpet. It just made it so that it was on me too. Meanwhile, while I was holding it, everybody else just sat there and looked at me. I don't think anybody quite new what to do. She kept throwing up threw the night and into the next day, but luckily, it was only about a 24 hour flu, and passed quickly. Then, on the drive home, we got trapped in a horrible snow storm and had to drive so slow! During the drive, Tim got sick and we had to pull over for him for a little bit. Finally when the storm started to clear up, we got stuck behind a horrible accident. A semi had dropped a load of huge metal pipes into oncoming traffic down below. I don't remember exactly, but I think about 8 people died. I was just so glad we weren't in it since it couldn't have happened more than a couple minutes before we got there. Who knows, maybe if we didn't have to pull over for Tim, it could have been us in there. We were stuck on the road for about 2 1/2 hours waiting for them to re-open the road. Jane was going crazy stuck in the back seat and Tim was curled up in any position that might help his stomach feel better. When we finally got moving again, we stopped at the next town and checked into a motel for the night. Luckily, the next morning, Tim felt much better and we had a great drive the rest of the way home. Then, Monday morning, I woke up with the worst pain ever in my stomach and had to call in sick to work. The pain was made even worse by Kaleb kicking in my stomach (since I was pregnant at the time). I hope I never have to feel that again. But, like everybody else, it passed quickly. I didn't get many pictures of the trip, but I did get some good ones of the aquarium!

Fun with Mommy!
And Daddy too!
But mostly having fun playing with the cousins.
Jane loved looking at the fish!

At the end, we got to feed the sting rays. Tim really enjoyed it, me. . .not so much.
Jane's first time playing in the snow! She loved it . . .
. . . until her hands got cold, and then we couldn't get her inside fast enough! But she sure looked cute!
I didn't know Tim had taken these pictures of himself until I uploaded them onto the computer. I thought it was pretty funny, so I had to share, although he might not appreciate it.
Jane found a swim diaper and insisted that I put it on her over her pants. She loved it and wore it most of the day. I'm not sure what she's crying about here. I think she wanted to help Tim, but couldn't.
Santa came for a visit again on Christmas Eve. Jane was a little bit more wary about him this time than last year, but he sure is a nice Santa!
Of course, he brought the kids some great presents!
Jane liked Rachel's present better, but she warmed up to hers.
Christmas morning, Jane had so much fun opening all her presents. Christmas is so much fun with kids and I know it's only going to get better! I love watching her get excited about everything!
The spoils! As my grandpa would say, such a Christmas there never was.
Jane enjoying her presents. A nice to rocking chair, adorable clothes from Uncle Kevin, and nothing beats 2 new toothbrushes.
Brittney took this picture at my mom's house. I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful happy little girl. This was the end to a great year!

6 month weigh in

Today was Kaleb's doctors appointment. He weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs 7 oz. This puts in in the 81% for weight, 52% for height, and 92% for head!!! What can I say, he has his fathers head. But I love all of it. I don't think he could get much cuter! I love every minute of this guy! (well, almost). He is such a good, happy baby and we are so happy to have him.

More silliness with Jane. She has her father's big mouth. I tried to put that block in my mouth and it barely fit.
Tim and Jane were having a fun craft night!! Even though Jane can give me a run for my money sometimes, she makes me laugh every day. She is already very caring of others and such a little sweet heart. I love her so much!!!

Kaleb is 6 months!!!

My baby turned 6 months old today! How the time flys. I am so glad to have Kaleb in our family. He is such a happy little guy and his smile always brightens my day.
How could you not love that chubby little guy!
Kaleb got his first taste of green beans today. This is him before. He's excited to get food!
And then very dissapointed by what it was.

I'm so lucky to have such great kids and I'm so glad they love each other so much! What more could I ask for?

Zoo

We recently bought passes to the zoo! I love the elephants! ( And Jane and Tim too!)
Jane's so hot! Watching the bird show!
I timed the picture bad. Jane gave a dolloar to the bird.
This is always Janes favorite. If we let her she would ride it all day. Forget the animals!
I always feel like when we go to the zoo, none of the animals are doing anything, but I got to see the bear swimming this time!
Jane loved these water fountains. Who wouldn't want to drink out of a lion's mouth?
Tim thought this was an appropriate photo op for Kaleb. People walking past thought it was funny too.

Kangaroo Zoo

Last week Tim's mom took us to Kangaroo Zoo. Jane had so much fun playing with her cousins! She absolutely loves this place and could play there all day if I let her. I was amazed at how much she could do by herself. I can't believe how big my little girl is getting!

4th of July and Family Pictures

First of all, while Kelltie was here, we got together with Kalli and Brittney. It was so fun to have the 4 of us together again, although, next time I vote we leave the kids behind. Jane is so dramatic! But, it was fun to have the 3 girls playing together. This was the best picture I got of them. They weren't that thrilled about taking pictures.
Everybody at my Mom and Dad's for fireworks! Jane is a bit of a scaredy cat and didn't like them. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get her to hold on the a sparkler.
Me and sleepy Kaleb. Suprisingly, he managed to fall asleep with all the noise!
I love this picture. My little girl is so pretty!
She was pulling this kind of a face throughout most of the fireworks.
My mom made the girls coordinating dresses, so we wanted to try and get pictures. It didn't work very well. It was hot and so hard to get the kids to all cooperate! I did manage to get some ok ones.

I love Janes face in this one!
I thought this was funny. Check out Rachel. She's going to attack that bubble!
Kaleb starting to sit by himself now! This photo shoot didn't last very long because spiders started to crawl all over him.
I love this picture not only because Jane looks super cute, but the boys are so funny! They were very hot, and ready to be done.
Kaleb and Dane. They were having a hard time sitting together. They kept falling over. Me and Kelltie were laughing pretty hard taking these.
Holding hands!
My babies!
Jane was helping my mom peel the eggs.
Me and Jane have been doing quite a bit of side walk chalk and one of her favorite things is playing hop scotch. She is so funny. She got distracted by the camera, but it's still cute.
